Community Leader Carmen Ramirez Endorses Marie Panec for Congress

Ventura, CA – Community Leader Carmen Ramirez, former Director of Community Planning for the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE) has endorsed Marie Panec for Congress in the June 8 Democratic primary election for California’s 24th district.

In her announcement, Ramirez said, "Marie Panec is a dedicated community leader with proven experience as a two term, elected member of a local school board and college professor with a strong reputation for integrity. Marie has a practical vision of creating opportunities for meaningful jobs, environmental sustainability and education. I trust Marie to be a real representative in Congress for the people who live, work and raise families in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.”

Ms. Ramirez has a record of accomplishment in social, economic and environmental justice advocacy on behalf of working families throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. As an attorney she has fought for rights on social security issues, children, unemployment benefits, Medi-Cal, the rights of seniors and immigration.
