The Legacy of Heroes

On this Memorial Day weekend we remember those in the military who have made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard our democracy and freedoms. Let us also remember police officers and firefighters who have fallen in the line of service. These men and women died because they cared about our country and her citizens; they cared about you and I.

I would like to especially remember members of our own community who have given their lives in service to their country. Their sacrifice is reminds us that each of us has a duty to serve our country and our communities in whatever capacity we can. Working together we can create opportunities for each other and build caring communities.
