Assemblywoman Julia Brownley (CA-AD 41) who serves as Chairwoman of the Education Committee of the California State Assembly, has endorsed Dr. Marie Panec, Democratic candidate for Congress in California’s 24th District Primary election on June 8, 2010.According to ASM Brownley, "As a fellow school board member, Marie's experience, courage, and longtime commitment to the educational needs of our communities have served our constituents well. Her leadership will also serve us well in Congress."
Julia Brownley brings a rich understanding of educational issues gleaned during her 12 years on the board of education of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, including three terms as board president. AD 41 spans from Santa Monica in the south to Oxnard in the north.
