Judging at Ventura County Science Fair

"I spent the better part of Wednesday judging science fair projects for the Ventura County Science fair.  I was assigned middle school microbiology projects.  The quality of the projects was amazing.  Students were required to design and perform a project using the scientific method, present their project in a poster display, prepare a written research report, and orally present their project to the judges.  I was particularly impressed by the presentation skills of students at this level.  They performed far better than I could have at their age. 

I applaud all students who participated and their teachers who supported them in the endeavor.  There is clearly some excellent science education going on in our local schools."
